The building is named of late Shankar Lal Kedia, the founder of DAV movement in Nepal. Late Kedia was the founder of Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh, which is an international organization recognized by UNO. Late Kedia helped to open first girl’s school outside the valley in Birgunj.
The building is named upon Late Brijlal Kedia, a renowned and top business icon of Nepal.
Mrs. Indumati Kedia a calm and introvert not only recognized as the wife of Late Shanker Lal Kedia, but a true lover and practitioner of Vipassana.
Late Mahavir Prasad Kedia was the elder brother of Brijlal Kedia. The unity and mutual co-operation between these two brothers is still talk of the town.
