  • Why DAVSKVB?

  • How to apply?

    At the end of the session in the month of (February-April), school announces admission from kindergarten to grade IX and also in XI (CBSE) for limited seats. Candidates must visit the school personally to fill the registration form and must attend written, oral and practical examination of DAVSKVB.
  • Which board courses are offered?

    We offer SLC board of the government of Nepal and CBSE board of the government of India. Alternative in the courses with freedom of choice is one of salient feature of DAVSKVB.
  • Minimum age required for admission

    In the preliminary classes of kindergarten, those children who have crossed the ages 3 can apply for the admission. But admission will be commenced only in the end of the session.
  • Transport facility is available from all corners of the capital?

    Yes. Transport facility from all corners of the capital.
  • Canteen facility for the students

    No. Students have to bring veg-cooked food from their own home. Green vegetables, fruits and juices are given priority.
  • What are co-curricular programmes?

    We have hundreds of co-curricular programmes separately managed for KG, Primary, Lower secondary and Senior Secondary Wings. Co –curricular calendar is handed to the parents in the beginning of the session and it is strictly implemented without fail.
  • What types of sports facilities are available in the school?

    We do provide cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess and carom, facilities.
  • Can students from abroad take admission?

    Yes. Students from any English medium school of the world can be admitted in DAVSKVB. But the equivalence is given for the same classes, e.g, student upgraded for class V from other schools will be equivalent to be admitted in class V in DAVSKVB. With these students should pass the entrance exam of DAVSKVB.
  • Are there international Edu-exchange programme?

    Yes. International students exchange programme is arranged in SAARC ASEAN, China and Germany each year. Students are also taking part in cultural and educational programme in European countries and American states every year.
  • Are there any awards?

    - Awards are designed both for individual and group competence ie. Chairman's Goldstar Award, Principal subject Sweepstakes Award, Academic Excellence Award, Golden Garbage Can, Golden Tray, Best Section Awards and Character Tree Award in the school.
  • What is the examination system?

    - There are four formative examinations and two summative examinations in an academic year. A formative examination contains 10 marks while a summative contains 30 marks in the final certificate. Evaluation of the student is based on the grading system and marking on percentage according to the educational rules of government of Nepal and India.
  • What is discipline system?

    We have preventive, supportive, corrective and general actions in the discipline sectors. In the beginning of the session students are oriented about the discipline. If a serious violation of discipline is found students are suspended for some periods and looking the history of the suspension period, further action is taken.
  • Are there any publications?

    School publishes activities based newsletter, Sandesh in the end of each semester while a research journal, Samwit is published in every school anniversary dated on 7th October.
  • Who is in the management?

    The current management is born from the decades of experience of school teaching and administration here in DAVSKVB. The School is led by Mr. Anil Kedia, the son of Late Shankar Lal Kedia, founder of DAV movement in Nepal. And the school has appointed Ms. Bhubaneswari Rao, the English scholar as the School Principal from the academic year 2005-06.

  • Is there online booking for admission?

    - Yes. Interested individual can book for the limited seats from kindergarten to IX and XI (CBSE) at any month for upcoming academic session through registration form available in our website. It is for the administrative record.
  • Are there libraries in the school?

    Yes, we do have 3 libraries in the school. The Helen Keller library contains 20,000 books with almost all the national and international dailies, weeklies and periodicals available in Nepal. It is basically in use for the students of Grade VII to XII. Furthermore, there are primary library and lower secondary library in their respective blocks. Being a high-tech school, students are also facilitated with online library in all the school hours.
  • Do you have CC surveillance?

    Yes, CC cameras are kept in all the corners and classes of secondary wing. The teaching learning process and discipline including educational environment is evaluated through the audio and video tapped in the CC camera if necessary.
  • Is there theater hall and auditorium?

    Yes, there is the Buddha Theater, Indu Auditorium, Pratik Auditorium, conference hall, and meditation halls including dance halls. DAVSKVB students must perform at least one professional theater show in an academic year.
  • Students outing programme

    Senior students attend regular tour in India and one of the major city of the country at least once in an academic year while the students involved in club, visit different places of the city. Excursion has also been in practice to study the culture, life style, vegetation and wild life in the city.
  • Do you have e-publication besides website?

    Yes. The school has introduced E-Newsletter namely Co-wit from the academic year 2012-13 where all the activities containing information and news are regularly updated.
  • Is the School honoured in the international arena?

    Yes, almost every year, school is being honoured with International Awards. Some of the remarkable awards in the last two academic years are:
