Curriculum

The foundation of our curriculum is based on the National Education System (HMG, Nepal) and CBSE (New Delhi). The overall curriculum is so designed that it aims at creating global citizens with a strong sense of social justice and a strong commitment to serve the country with national pride. The curriculum of the school is based on the principle of totality of experience, variety and elasticity, corelation and community centeredness.
The school curriculum is divided as under:

Pre-Primary

The curriculum aims to develop the whole personality of a child through motor, sensorial and intellectual activities. Creative expressions and general awareness of things, people and places are encouraged through interactive activities like art and craft, music, language, role play, sports etc. A firm foundation for formal learning is built up by enhancing the necessary skills to understand, speak, read and write freely.

Junior Primary (Classes I - IV)

At the Junior Primary level the curriculum prescribed by DAV College Trust and Management Society, New Delhi and the Nepal Government curriculum have been adopted in such a way that the learners receive the best of both the systems. The curriculum objective is to develop the students social, emotional, physical and cognitive abilities.

Senior Primary (Classes V - VIII)

At this level the curriculum branches out into 2 - the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education, HMG of (Nepal) and CBSE (New Delhi). Curriculum is based on the needs of the learners. The standard of attainment becomes more specific

Secondary Level (Classes IX - X)

At the secondary level focus is on increasing productivity, achieving social and national integration, accelerating the process of modernisation and cultivating social, moral and spiritual values. In both the branches, the SLC and CBSE, the courses consist of certain core subjects common to all and certain optional subjects.

Higher Secondary Level

The CBSE and HSEB prescribed curriculum are followed in the +2 level. At this level the courses are diversified in such a manner as to enable students to specialize in a spicific stream with considerable freedom and elasticity. The +2 course provides an opportunity and a means to get acquainted with appropriate vocationalisation.
